Conivaptan is a non-peptide inhibitor of antidiuretic hormone (vasopressin receptor antagonist). Conivaptan inhibits two of the three subtypes of the vasopressin receptor (V1a and V2). Effectively, it causes iatrogenic nephrogenic diabetes insipidus.
