Bepotastine, also known as TAU-284, is a 2nd generation antihistamine (H1-receptor antagonist). It was approved in Japan for use in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and urticaria/pruritus in July 2000 and January 2002, respectively.
Bepotastine besilate is a selective and orally active second-generation histamine H1 receptor antagonist. Bepotastine besilate has the potential for allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis and urticaria/pruritus research.
